Mehderitzsch is a district of the town of Torgau in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .
location
The street village of Mehderitzsch is located southeast of the city of Torgau on federal highway 182 . Right next door are Kranichau and Klein Kranichau on a sandy floor of the Beckwitzer-Belgernsche valley sand plain of the Elbe lowlands .
history
The village was mentioned as Mederiz in 1251 . In 1535 it was called Mederitzsch , similar to today. Membership in the administration was under the Torgau office since 1378, and the Torgau district from 1816 . From 1529 the residents parish to Weßnig . In 1818, 201, in 1925, 276 and in 1946, 499 people lived in the rural village. In 1990 there were 523 people who lived here.
On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Kranichau was incorporated.
The farmers cultivated 673 hectares in the district .
On January 1, 1994, the communities of Mehderitzsch, Beckwitz , Loßwig , Staupitz and Weßnig were merged to form a new community of Pflückuff . This came to Torgau on January 1st, 2009.
