Repitz is a district of the town of Torgau in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .
location
The clustered village of Repitz is located northeast of the city of Torgau and can be reached via county road 8987 and other secondary roads. The village lies on the western edge of the Elbe meadows .
history
In 1314 there was a mansion with the name Reptiez on the site . In the period from 1505 to 1586 the village was deserted . A single estate was built on the site as a stud around 1747. The Bleesern court stud in Saxony-Anhalt was used as a model for the construction of the Saxon court studs Repitz and Kreischau . Repitz was only a subsidiary stud with often changing owners. The competent authority for the stud or the place was always in Torgau. The district covered 287 hectares. 38 people lived there in 1818, 59 in 1880 and 71 in 1895, who were parish in Döbern . Around 1928 the independent Repitz estate was incorporated into the municipality of Döbern. On July 20, 1950, the district was reclassified from the municipality of Döbern to the city of Torgau.
