2:54 is a London based alternative rock band formed in 2010.
Sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow were born in Ireland and raised in Bristol . In 2007 they founded the punk band The Vulgarians , but with little success. In 2010 they founded the band 2:54, named after their "favorite spot in the Melvins song A History of Bad Men ". The debut single On a Wire was released in 2011, followed by Scarlet , which was then released on the Fiction Records label. The band played a few gigs, including as a supporter for Warpaint or The xx and at the South by Southwest festival . In May 2012 the group released their debut album.
