Konstantin "Tino" Wawra (born June 30, 1979 ) is a former Austrian professional footballer . Wawra is currently the sports director of FC Blau-Weiß Linz. Before that, Wawra worked at Stars & Friends Austria as a scout and player consultant in the field of sports management.
Career
Wawra began his career in the youth teams of ASKÖ Leonding and Donau Linz in Upper Austria . In 1999 he moved to the top Austrian league for SV Ried , where he also made his debut this year. In 2002, a year before SV Ried was relegated from the Bundesliga, Wawra moved to FC Gratkorn in Styria . In 2004 he was promoted to the second highest Austrian league with FC Gratkorn. In 2006 he moved back within this league to SC Schwanenstadt in Upper Austria . Wawra had a total of 52 appearances for SV Ried in the 1st Bundesliga. Wawra played 125 games in a row in the Red Zac League (2nd Bundesliga) for Gratkorn and Schwanenstadt.
Between 2008 and 2013 Wawra played at FC Blau-Weiß Linz in the regional league center, where he was promoted to the first league as captain in the 2010/11 season and thus returned to the professional area. After a season at ASKÖ Donau Linz and a first half of the season as assistant coach at Union St. Florian, he moved back to his parent club ASKÖ Leonding in 2015 and let his active career end there. In addition, from December 2008 to 2013 Wawra worked as a journalist in the sports department of the Kronen Zeitung . From 2013 to 2019 he worked at Stars & Friends Austria in Wels as a scout and player consultant. On July 1, 2019, Wawra returned to FC Blau-Weiß Linz as sports director.
