Konstantin von Haffner

Konstantin von Haffner (born May 28, 1895 in Riga , † June 5, 1985 in Hamburg ) was a German zoologist and professor at the University of Hamburg .

Von Haffner received his doctorate in 1920 and qualified as a zoologist at the University of Marburg in 1923 . Its special area were lower animals like parasites . From 1928 to 1962 he was a curator or department head of the Hamburg Zoological Museum under Berthold Klatt and since 1930 adjunct professor at the University of Hamburg.

In May 1933 he joined the NSDAP , as well as the NS teacher and lecturer association . In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . From 1935 to 1938 he was block leader .
