Contrast program is an Austrian punk rock band founded in 2005 . The members come from Vienna .
history
The band was formed in 2005. The first band name back then was "Molding Zombie" and the music was a mixture of metal and punk. Some older songs by Alex and Andy were played in this formation. One of the first songs back then was Grandma Has No Electricity which was originally called Rome Has No Electricity . This song was decisive in renaming the band in "contrast program". The band fitted in with “Edelbrand Records” and after a while recorded their first EP Peptidase . Among other things, the songs Grandma has no electricity and fresh on the table can be found on the CD. But that was not the first CD from Contrastprogramm, before that there was already a CD called Demo (n) stration .
After a few appearances in "Unplugged", "Replugged" and "Bach", the debut album Sensenberg Feeling was recorded on their own in 2007 . The band has been with Komasound Productions since 2007 and has also produced two CDs there called Experimental Excremente and Punk Must Be . In 2009 the DVD Des Wahnsinns Fette Beute was released with the music videos for Experimental Excrement . Then the band split from Komasound Productions. They worked on the new album called Cigarette and in autumn / winter the band went to the Concrete Studio, Göllersdorf to record the new song Needles for the upcoming album. This was followed by the single, which is only available as an MP3 download. Several concerts followed in the B72 and in the BACH. In 2011 there followed again appearances in various clubs. In autumn 2011 the album Cigarette was released . On February 5th, 2016 the single "ORF Nachlese" was released as an MP3 download. The song is from the album "Aqualunge", which was released in 2016. On April 13, 2016, the second single called "Look Right" was released and on January 20, 2017, the third single "EDV Junkie" followed. The singles were only available as MP3 downloads on Amazon, iTunes, etc.
