AB coordinate was a machine tools maker in Lithuania , located in Kaunas . The company employed almost 2000 people (1976). It produced lathes , grinding machines and spare parts for agricultural machinery .
history
In 1953 Kauno remonto gamykla ( Eng . 'Remontwerk Kaunas') was founded in Soviet Lithuania . In 1959 it became Kauno staklių gamykla . In 1962 it was named after Feliksas Dzeržinskis (1877–1926), a communist professional revolutionary of Polish origin, and was then called Dzeržinskio staklių gamykla . In 1975, 787 machines were produced.
Coordinate
On January 23, 1991, the state-owned company Valstybinė įmonė Koordinatė was registered. On June 15, 1993, Akcinė bendrovė Koordinatė was established. In 1995 the company sold the looms on behalf of the German company GOLmatic . In 1995 an analysis of the possible tractor production organization was carried out. In 1996, the company was at the suggestion of Industry and Commerce Ministry of Lithuania by the Government of Lithuania by long-time delay money freed. From 1996 to 1997 the company shares were traded at Nacionalinė vertybinių popierių birža . On January 31, 1997, bankruptcy proceedings were opened in the Kaunas District Court and later closed in February 1998. On June 17, 1999, AB Koordinatė was disbanded for liquidation . Until March 31, 2005, there was a separate rest house ( Valstybinės įmonės Coordinatė poilsio namai Lakštingala ) in the spa town of Palanga (J. Basanavičiaus Street 28) on the Baltic Sea .
