Kopelman Quartet
The Kopelman Quartet is a string quartet that was founded in Moscow in 2002 and consists of the musicians Michail Kopelman and Boris Kuschnir ( violin ), Igor Sulyga ( viola ) and Michail Milman ( cello ).
Musical direction
All four musicians were graduates of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the 1970s . It sees itself as the successor to the respected Borodin Quartet . Michail Kopelman was first violinist in the Borodin Quartet, Boris Kushnir and Igor Suliga worked with Dmitri Shostakovich .
The ensemble takes part in international festivals and has made guest appearances at the Wiener Musikverein , London's Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam .
