The Koppervik is a 400 m wide bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located 2.7 km southwest of Cape Buller on the northwest side of the Bay of Isles .
The name of the bay, which was made before 1930, goes back to Norwegian whalers who operated in the waters around South Georgia. The further naming background has not been passed down.
