Florin Kompatscher (* 1960 in Bozen , Italy ) is an Italian painter who lives and works in Berlin .

Life

Florin Kompatscher was born in Bolzano, Italy in 1960. From 1976 to 1980 he attended the art school in Selva di Val Gardena . From 1981 to 1986 he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna with Carl Unger and Adolf Frohner , where he was a Rome - scholarship won for since 1987. This was followed by stays in Madrid from 1988 to 1989, Paris from 1990, Hamburg and from 1993 in Cologne and South Tyrol .

The South Tyrolean has lived in Berlin since 2003 and in the Berlin district of Moabit since 2010 with his partner, the East Tyrolean artist Maria Brunner . His studio is located in the Wilmersdorf district .

Florin Kompatscher is represented with works in the Deutsche Bank Collection as well as the collections of the Museion in Bozen, the Office for Culture in South Tyrol and the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum .
