Korbinian Strimmer

Korbinian Strimmer (* 1972 ) is a German statistician .

Life

Korbinian Strimmer is Professor of Statistics at the University of Manchester .

After studying physics at the University of Munich , he also received his doctorate in 1997 under Arndt von Haeseler at the Faculty of Biology . After stays at Cambridge University and Oxford University , he headed an Emmy Noether junior research group at the Institute for Statistics at the University of Munich from 2002 to 2006 . From 2007 to 2014 Strimmer was Professor of Medical Statistics and Bioinformatics at the University of Leipzig , and from 2014 to 2017 Reader at Imperial College London .

From 2014 to 2017 Korbinian Strimmer was included in the list of the world's most influential scientific minds ("The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds 2014") by Thomson Reuters and Clarivate Analytics four times in a row .
