Kostas Sommer (born May 17, 1975 ) is a Greek - German actor .

Life

Sommer was born in Germany, where he partly spent his youth. He grew up bilingual. His mother is German and his father from Crete originating Greek . Sommer later moved to Greece with his family. He attended the German School in Athens . He made his first professional experience as an actor and model in Greece.

In 1995 he went to Los Angeles and completed an acting training at the University of California, Los Angeles , from which he graduated in 1997 with an acting diploma. At UCLA, he worked in the play with students performances as Treat Orphans by Lyle Kessler and as Polo Pope in Toxic Snow ( A Hatful of Rain ) by Michael V. Gazzo with. At the Trilogy Theater in New York City , an off-Broadway theater, he appeared in the title role of Ferenc Molnár's play Liliom and as Joe Bonaparte in the play Golden Boy by Clifford Odets .

In 2002 he played the Albanian worker Ilia in the Greek television series I agapi irthe apo makrya . This role brought him first notoriety in Greece; it was followed by other roles in television films and series . In 2005 he had the role of the Greek gigolos Assapopoulos Mariolis in the Hollywood film Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo .

Through his leading role in the Greek television series Tis agapis mahairia , he became a popular media star in Greece. Photo series with him as a male model have appeared in numerous journals and magazines. In the United States he had his own television show Extreme Summer , in which Sommer presented himself in various extreme sports .

From 2010 to 2011, Sommer played the role of the car mechanic and workshop owner Tony Weiss in the ZDF -Telenovela Lena - Love of my Life .
