The Kotbach is the left and north-western upper reaches of the Kleine Laine in Upper Bavaria .

The Kotbach is formed from ditches on the eastern slopes of the Jochberg , which collect in the Kotalm valley . It flows together with the Filzgraben coming from the west to the Kleiner Laine , which continues in the direction of the inflow of the Kotbach.
