Kotzmannsreuth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With currently 28 residents, Kotzmannsreuth is the smallest district of Creußen .

The town center is on a hill, only one house is in the valley. The village cannot deny its agricultural origins. It is dominated by three larger properties. The oldest consists of an impressive, but badly dilapidated mansion and adjoining barns that were built on the foundations of the former castle. A game reserve with fallow deer belongs to the farm .

Horses are kept on the Hartingshof, which was built in the early 1970s by the leather manufacturer Bugiel on the former farm of the farmer Groter using the former cowshed . In the possession of the Harting family since 2006, the farm also offers the 1. Reit- und Zuchtverein Creußen Stadt und Land e. V. a home.

In the 1970s, the village deep well was closed. There are considerations to reopen the well as it is one of the deepest in the area at over 30 meters.
