Hörlasreuth is a small village with 71 inhabitants and 21 houses (as of March 2004).

It is located in Upper Franconia in the Franconian Alb and in the Gottsfeld district and is a district of Creußen . This is seven kilometers away and can only be reached twice a week by public transport, the citizens' bus. The next motorway exit, Trockau, is a few kilometers away.

After Bayreuth distance is about 20 kilometers. The Rotmain spring , which rises two kilometers northwest of the village in the forest, is a popular destination.

Around Hörlasreuth there are a few ponds and a lot of forest that is only cut through by the three access roads. The Simmelbach flows through Hörlasreuth and, outside the village, the Rote Main flows in a small stream bed.

Hörlasreuth was part of the Gottsfeld community and was incorporated into the town of Creußen on May 1, 1978 at the end of the regional reform in Bavaria .
