Gottsfeld is a district and a district of Creußen in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .
The state road St 2184 leads west of Creussen over the district Buhl for God box. The road touches the northern edge of the village and continues via Schwürz to Trockau . With the von Gottsfeld family , the place had its own local noble family with an abandoned castle in the southeast of the place above the quay. The only architectural monument in the village is an inscription plaque from 1513 embedded in a barn.
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Gottsfeld was incorporated into the city of Creußen.
The former municipality had an area of 1612.48 hectares . It included besides the namesake village and commune capital of the villages Großweiglareuth , Hörlasreuth and Schwürz , the hamlet Kleinweiglareuth and water cabbage and deserts Oberneueben and Unterneueben .
