The Kouperov Peak is a 890 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises at the southern end of the Demas Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after the Soviet ionospheric physicist Leonid Kuperow, who worked as an exchange scientist on the US in 1961 -American Byrd Station was operating.
