Kowaliwka ( Ukrainian Ковалівка ; Russian Ковалёвка Kowaljowka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 900 inhabitants (2001).
The village, which has been known since the 17th century, is the only place in the district of the same name in the north of Shyshaky Rajon .
Kowaliwka is located at an altitude of 100 m on the banks of the 22 km long Stecha ( Стеха ) and on the Hrun-Tashan ( Грунь-Ташань ), a 91 km long left tributary of the Psel , 18 km north of the district center of Shyshaky and 75 km northwest of the Oblastzentrum Poltava .
