Kozubszczyzna is a village and mayor's office of rural community Konopnica in Lublin County of Lublin province in Poland . The village with 875 inhabitants is the seat of this rural community with 13,963 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019). It is named after the village Konopnica with 1297 inhabitants (2011).

In the village there is the administration of Gmina Konopnica, a post office, the main seat of the library of the rural community and sports facilities.

geography

The place is nine kilometers west of Konopnica and 12 km west of the city of Lublin .

history

As a result of the third partition of Poland , the region came to Austria in 1795 . In 1809 the so-called West Galicia was incorporated into the Duchy of Warsaw . Just six years later, the area became " Congress Poland " through the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and thus indirectly became part of the Russian Empire .

In the years 1975-1998 the village was administratively part of the Lublin Voivodeship , which at that time had a different shape.
