The crows stone ( Romanian Vârful Ciucaş ) is the highest peak in the same crows Stone Mountain ( Romanian Muntii Ciucas ). From its summit there is a wonderful view of Burzenland , Kronstadt and the mountain health resort of Cheia. The mountain hotel Cabana Varful Ciucas is located near the summit of the Krähentein. The Krähenstein and the entire Krähenstein Mountains are particularly attractive because of their peculiar rock formations.

Variation I.
The forest road leads over the DN1A Ploiesti-Brasov, a little above the Keia station in the direction of Siebendörfer, next to the waterworks . The easiest way to get to the Krähenstein is by car on road 1A, from Siebendörfer (Săcele) over the Bratocea pass to Muntele Rosu, the Red Mountain, which is so called because it glows noticeably red when the alpine roses are in bloom. In the first part, the forest road passes the Berii valley and roughly follows the road marked with a blue cross. In the last part of the road there are several narrow and steep switchbacks , for which an off-road vehicle is recommended.
Variation II
The blue cross marking leads to the summit in 3 to 3½ hours on a moderately difficult route. The route begins at the Zăganu Hotel in Cheia, which follows the DN1A Ploieşti-Braşov national road to the Berii Valley. The route continues along the forest road to Fântânea Nicolae Ioan, where it crosses with the route that comes from Cabana Munte Roşu. The road climbs up the Beria Valley. Then continue for about 20 minutes until you reach Pasul Bratocea. From here to the Krähenstein it takes about 10 minutes.
