The Batak Power Plant is a hydropower plant in the Pazardzhik Oblast , Bulgaria . It has an installed capacity of 46.8 MW . The power plant uses the water from the Goljam Beglik dam, about 13 km away, to generate electricity. The city of Batak is about 4 km northeast of the power plant.

The power plant is owned by Nazionalna elektritscheska kompanija EAD (NEK EAD) and is also operated by NEK EAD.

The power plant went into operation in 1951 and is used to cover peak loads . It has an installed capacity of 46.8 MW . The average annual production is 112 million kWh . The 4 Pelton turbines with vertical shaft have an output of 11.7 MW each; they are located in an underground machine house.

A tunnel leads from the Golyam Beglik dam to the Batak power station. The drop height is 421 m and the maximum flow is a total of 13.6 m³ / s. From the power plant Batak the water after use for about 2 km distant reservoir of the dam Batak passed.
