The Brunner Island power plant ( English Brunner Island Steam Electric Station ) is a coal-fired power plant on Brunner Island on the Susquehanna River in York County in Pennsylvania (USA).

The power plant consists of three power plant blocks :

In 1967 three more diesel generators, each with 2.8 MW, were connected to the grid.

Emissions

In addition to the waste heat that is discharged into the Susquehanna River, sulfur dioxide is also emitted. For every megawatt hour of electrical energy, 9.29 kg of sulfur dioxide are emitted.
