The Sabón power plant ( Spanish Central térmica de Sabón ) is a gas and steam combined cycle power plant in the municipality of Arteixo , A Coruña province , Spain . The installed capacity of the power plant is 400 MW . It is owned by Naturgy and operated by Naturgy. The power plant went into operation with the first unit in 1972; the combined cycle power plant was added in 2008.

The power plant currently consists of one block that went into operation in 2008. The following table gives an overview:

The annual production in 2008 was 1.406 billion kWh . Units 1 and 2 were operated with heavy fuel oil . The chimney of the oil power plant was demolished in 2019.
