The all nearby fortress Bobovac was the seat of Bosnian kings from the Kotromanić - dynasty . Among other things, the Bosnian King Tvrtko II resided in Bobovac . The last king of the Kingdom of Bosnia , Stjepan Tomašević , was beheaded by the Ottomans in Ključ in 1463 after his flight from Bobovac via Jajce . His wife Katarina Kosača-Kotromanić was the last Bosnian queen; after the Ottomans took the royal residence in 1463, she was able to flee into exile in Rome .
