The Krayenberg is a 428.3 m high, conical mountain in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

The Krayenberg is located in the Werra valley , eight kilometers west of Bad Salzungen between the Krayenberg community and the Bad Salzunger district Tiefenort . The mountain belongs to the Salzunger Werrabergland . The name of the mountain refers to the Krayenburg , which is situated on the summit and is now a popular destination in the Werra Valley. A hotel and a transmission mast were built on the site of the castle ruins.

The next to the east, the wooded side peak Visenschein ( 327.5  m above sea level ) also belongs to the ridge .
