Kreise is a pop song by Johannes Oerding . It was released in advance on March 23, 2017 as the first download single from the album of the same name .
Creation and publication
Kreise was written by Fabian Römer , David Vogt and Johannes Oerding and produced by Oerding with Mark Smith and the Beatgees team. The song is about relationships between people who separate, but can also come together again after a while, when the path “crosses”, because “everything moves in circles” and they have “the same center”.
The song was not released as a physical single, but was made available for download through various channels. He also appeared on the album of the same name in an acoustic version.
Music video
A music video was shot for the song, directed by Felix Urbauer. It was produced by Oki Films, with cameramen Simon Preissinger and Jonas Bendner. It is a split-screen video that was shot in Hamburg and Lisbon . In Hamburg you can see the Elbmarsch high street , the HafenCity University underground station and other filming locations at the port, in Lisbon also the underground and the Ponte 25 de Abril . The main characters, a man and a woman, do similar things in similar places in different surroundings; at the end they meet in an elevator. The video was viewed more than 9.6 million times on YouTube (as of November 2019).
reception
The song reached number 91 in the charts in Germany and was placed for a week. In Austria it reached number 42 (eleven chart weeks). In Switzerland , the song did not hit the charts, but was awarded a gold record for more than 10,000 units sold.
