Crethon
Krethon ( Greek Κρήθων ) is a person of Greek mythology .
For Homer , Krethon is the son of Diocles , a descendant of the river god Alpheios and king of Pharai , and the twin brother of Orsilochus . The brothers take part in the Trojan War , where they are considered the bravest fighters among the Danes . Both are killed by Aeneas during the war , which prompts Menelaus, who is mourning for them, to advance against the Trojans.
Pausanias reports that Antikleia , mother of Gorgasus and Nicomachus , is a sister of Krethon.
