Kreuzweg Ost is a group from Austria , which is assigned to the Martial Industrial and mainly deals with the topics of war and religion.
history
Kreuzweg Ost was founded by Michael Gregor (active under the pseudonym Silenius in the Austrian black metal bands Summoning and Abigor ) and Martin Schirenc ( Pungent Stench and Hollenthon ). Shortly after the release of the debut album Iron Avantgarde , Schirenc left the band.
In 2003, Kreuzweg Ost was expanded again by Gregor through Oliver Stummer and Ronald Albrecht. With this line-up, the album Edelrost was released in 2005 and Gott mit uns in 2012 .

What the publications of Kreuzweg Ost have in common is that there is no actual singing. Instead, samples from films of different genres that deal with war or religion are used, including The Name of the Rose , The Magic Mountain , Nothing New in the West and The Legionnaire , which, according to VV from the A-Blaze, "take on the function of song, so to speak". the songs [develop] a real radio play character in which one can vividly imagine the individual motifs [...] in the mind's eye ”.
