War memorial (Kötzschenbroda)

The war memorial at the east end of Angers Altkötzschenbroda is in the Kötzschenbroda district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . The memorial for those who died in the First World War stands in front of the entrance to the Friedenskirche . It is a cultural monument .

The sandstone memorial, erected in 1925, was designed by the local sculptor Alfred Lehmann. A sarcophagus-like monument stands on a rectangular base plate and block steps above , on which there is a flat triangular gable above a cornice .

On the northern front there is a relief of a wreath of oak leaves around an iron cross . Above is the inscription

"FOR US - TRUE TO DEATH"

and on the side the years "1914" and "1918". On the back are the names of the fallen from Kötzschenbroda in front of the incorporations.
