history
The monument to the fallen in the Franco-Prussian War 1870–71 was erected in 1872 in front of the central axis of the Simultankirche. Althaldensleber citizens had financed it. On the occasion of the redesign of the church square, the outdoor area was converted in 2017.

The monument is designed in a classical style to match the architecture of the church and is provided with an inscription. In the local register of monuments , the monument is registered as an architectural monument under registration number 094 84416 . There is a monument protection , as the object is worth preserving from a historical, cultural-artistic and urban planning point of view.
