The Burgkemnitz war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Burgkemnitz district of the Muldestausee community in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is recorded as a monument with registration number 094 96604 .

General

The war memorial in Burgkemnitz is located at the intersection of Schlaitzer Straße and Platz der Jugend . Today's war memorial in Burgkemnitz was erected in 1996 on the initiative of the Burgkemnitzer Heimat- und Naturverein to commemorate the twenty fallen soldiers of the First World War and the 45 fallen soldiers of the Second World War . It is a boulder from the Gröbern opencast mine with an inscription and two memorial plaques. The memorial plaques were made by the Scholz stonemason from Jeßnitz .

On June 29, 1924, a war memorial was inaugurated for the fallen soldiers of the First World War. Only fragments of the name plaque remain from this monument.
