The Wild Wind Glacier is a 5 km wide glacier in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range flows from the Staten Island Heights and the area around Mount Razorback in a southerly direction to the Alatna Valley .
A team from the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program , which was active in this area between 1989 and 1990, made the designation. It is named after the strong and persistent winds that occur here and leave deep grooves on the ice cliffs at the mouth of the glacier .
