In Großjena on the church cemetery there are three war memorials.

The artistically most important war memorial in Großjena near Naumburg was inaugurated on July 5, 1925 to commemorate the victims of the First World War from Großjena . It bears the monogram of the sculptor Johannes Hartmann and the year of construction. He created it together with Hugo Hartung , who is also based in Großjena and who probably contributed the design.

In a sense, the church forms the background for the war memorial . A bronze plaque with the names of the 27 fallen soldiers from the village is attached to the pedestal that was added to the wall. It depicts a soldier in uniform with a steel helmet and side rifle , who has fallen to his knees, hit in the heart. The statue rests on a two-tier masonry pedestal, the lower tier being chamfered. At the same time, the monument is also a part of the wall, which is in front of the outer wall as a risalit . The entire monument consists of Freyburg shell limestone .

War memorial in Großjena for 1864/1870/71

Another war memorial designed as a three-tier obelisk near the entrance to the cemetery is dedicated to those who died in the Wars of Unification of 1864–1870 / 71. On the sides there is a dedication and the names of the participants in the wars of 1866–1870 / 71. It refers to the battles of Düppel ( German-Danish War ), Paris ( German-French War ) and Königgrätz ( German-Austrian War ), as can be seen on the shields on the corners. It is crowned by the German imperial crown.

At another point on the cemetery wall is a memorial plaque with the alphabetically listed names of the fallen and missing of the Second World War. In a way, this is the third war memorial in the church cemetery in Großjena.
