The Krimi-Couch (also Krimi-Couch.de ) is an advertising-financed online magazine of the Literatur-Couch Medien GmbH & Co. KG . It was founded in 2002. In 2009 she received the Grimme Online Award in the “Culture and Entertainment” category. It is regarded as one of the largest, independent online magazines on crime novels in the German-speaking world. The editor-in-chief is Andreas Kurth, the editors include Jochen König, Birgit Borloni, Michael Drewniok and Jörg Kijanski.

Krimi-Couch is aimed at crime readers and, in addition to current book reviews, also publishes author portraits and topic-related reports. Thrillers can be searched by author or region. Via the so-called crime advisor , the reader can get book recommendations based on criteria such as location, period of action or genre. In the reviews, the novels discussed are rated using a point system from 0 to 100 (0 = waste paper, 100 = masterpiece). Readers can rate and comment on a crime thriller. The most popular books are shown in a top 10 list. The editors and readers have been voting for the book of the year since 2017 .

Crime Blitz

From 2004 to 2007 and 2010 to 2015 the Krimi-Couch awarded the undoped literary prize Krimi-Blitz , an audience award. The editorial team of the Krimi-Couch nominated twenty titles from the previous year from the Krimi-Couch hits and the hit list that resulted from user ratings, as well as editorial tips. From this list the readers chose the winner.
