Alf Kristian Hovde (born December 6, 1903 in Vikersund , † August 19, 1969 in Vikersund) was a Norwegian cross-country skier and Nordic combined skier .

Career

Hovde, who started for Vikersund IF, made his first international appearance at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1928 . There he finished second over 50 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1930 he achieved 16th place over 50 km and fourth place over 17 km. The following year he won the silver medal over 18 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberhof . He also came in fifth there over 50 km and fourth in the Nordic combined . In the same year he became Norwegian champion over 30 km. In his only Olympic participation in Lake Placid in 1932 , he finished 13th over 18 km. He completed his last race in 1947 at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival. He came in 29th place over 50 km.
