Kristian Kunert

Kristian Kunert (born July 16, 1941 in Ostrau , Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia ) is a German educational scientist, professor emeritus for school education at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen since 2004 . His scientific focal points are: In-school teacher training, concepts of humanistic pedagogy in their importance for school learning, alternative school models and transpersonal teaching / learning methods.

Live and act

After fleeing and expelled, he came to Swabia with his mother and siblings , and finally to Augsburg . There he passed the Abitur at the Peutinger Gymnasium . Subsequently, he was trained as a teacher for primary and secondary schools at the Augsburg PH. After completing his studies, Kristian Kunert worked as a secondary school teacher in the Augsburg area for seven years. From 1968 to 1973 he studied educational science, general education , psychology and Catholic religious education at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He completed his second degree with a doctorate as' Dr. phil. ' from.

From 1972 to 1981 Kristian Kunert worked in Bavarian teacher training. In 1981 he followed a call to the German Institute for Distance Learning at the University of Tübingen. From 1987 until his retirement he taught at the Institute for Educational Science at this university. He held lectures and seminars for candidate teachers, especially for high schools and social pedagogues. His scientific support for the development of a concept for educational school development in Rhineland-Palatinate as well as his commitment after the turnaround to the development and further development of schools and teacher training in Thuringia are to be emphasized .

Kristian Kunert, father of two adult children, was instrumental in founding the vocational academy of the Catholic Educational Community Swabia in Augsburg in 1968 , which he ran for several years on a voluntary basis.
