Kristina Hillmann (born September 5, 1991 in Basel ) is a German hockey player and physiotherapist .

Career

Hillmann was active in youth teams for the German Hockey Association for the first time in 2006 . In 2009 she finished second with the German team at the U18 European Championship. On June 13, 2011, the midfielder made her debut in the German national hockey team . In 2011 and 2012 she took part in the Champions Trophy , in which the German team took fourth place in 2012.

In 2014 Hillmann took part in the World Championships in The Hague (8th place) and in the Champions Trophy in Mendoza (7th place). In 2015 she was a participant in the 4th indoor hockey world championship in Leipzig (2nd place) and the most successful German goal scorer with 9 goals.

Hillmann has played 113 international matches and scored a total of 31 goals (17 field, 14 hall). (As of August 30, 2015)

She started at Club zur Vahr in Bremen and moved to Uhlenhorster HC in 2008 , with whom she became German champion in 2009 and 2011 as well as in 2015 (field hockey) and 2014 (indoor hockey).

Following the World Indoor Championships in Leipzig, she won the Euro Hockey Indoor Club Champions Cup 2015 with the Uhlenhorster Hockey Club in Siauliai (Lithuania) in the final against Club Campo de Madrid.

In March 2015, Hillmann was named Bremen Sportswoman of the Year 2014 for her athletic performance.

She attended the Ecumenical Gymnasium in Bremen and then studied physiotherapy in Hamburg.
