Kristina Peters

Kristina Peters (born March 24, 1968 in Münster ) is a former German hockey player and Olympic participant.

Kristina Peters won her first German championship title in field hockey with the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen in 1985 . In 1987 indoors and 1990 outdoors, two more championship titles followed. In 1996 Peters played for Rot-Weiss Köln .

In 1988 Kristina Peters won the European Junior Championship, in 1989 she was Junior World Champion. As early as 1987, the defender made her debut in the German national hockey team . In 1990 she was part of the winning team at the European Indoor Hockey Championships. After finishing eighth at the 1990 World Cup , the team finished second at the 1991 European Championship . At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , Peters was in all five games and won the silver medal after losing 2-1 to Spain. This was followed by fourth place at the 1994 World Cup and bronze at the 1995 European Championship . In their second Olympic participation in Atlanta in 1996 , the German team finished sixth. In total, Kristina Peters played 91 international matches from 1987 to 1996, 10 of them indoors.
