Kristoffer Zegers

Kristoffer Zegers (born December 27, 1973 in Breda ) is a Dutch composer .

He studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Gilius van Bergeijk , Jan Boerman , Martijn Padding , Clarence Barlow , and Robert HP Platz .

In his compositions Zegers works with tapes and electronically processed sounds. In 2002 he gave a master class at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. The following year he founded his own electronic studio.

His composition Singularity IV was performed in 1999 in the great hall of the Concertgebouw . Elektroshocks was premiered in 2003 at the November Festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM), the world premiere of Venlaflexine was played by the Kohinoor Saxophone Quartet .

On April 22nd, Zegers gave a concert in Breda, Netherlands, grote OLV Kerk, with 60 pianos and 120 pianists. In 2008 several of these concerts will be organized.
