Political positions

Morvai is not a member of the Jobbik , but stood for them in the 2009 European elections. With her as the top candidate, Jobbik achieved 14.77% in Hungary and thus three seats in the European Parliament.

Morvai is considered an anti-Semite and populist . She calls for Hungary's emancipation from the European Union ( “Hungary should no longer be the servant of the EU!” ) And claims that it can strengthen the Hungarian economy through protectionism . She expresses criticism of globalization and positions herself as an opponent of the euro . In addition, she advocates more transparency in Brussels and accuses the European Union of making it more difficult for the Hungarian people to look through with chaos and opacity. She described the European Union as corrupt and too bureaucratic. In the event of a move into the European Parliament, she wanted to join a Eurosceptic group .

In 2008 she recommended the “ liberal Bolshevik Zionists ” to think about “ where to flee and where to hide ”. 2009 it recommended its Jewish critics " with their small, trimmed to play tails " instead of dealing with it, calling the Israelis "lousy, dirty murderers." In 2010, she claimed, evidence of a statement allegedly made by Shimon Peres to have ' that Israel wanted to buy up Hungary. As early as 2006, in the context of a scramble for a post at a UN commission, she said her rival was a “well-known Zionist activist” .

The paramilitary Magyar Gárda appears at her public appearances.

Her handling of the press is remarkable: interviews are only given against a deposit of one thousand euros. In the event of reporting that is perceived as unfair, the money should be used to initiate legal action.
