Kröhstorf is a district of the Eichendorf market in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau .

location

Kröhstorf is located on the Alte Vils in the Vils-Kollbach-Winkel, about two kilometers north of Roßbach and about five kilometers southeast of Eichendorf on the state road 2083.

history

In 1301 the place was first mentioned under the names Chreuzdorf and Chreustorf . In the middle of the 19th century Krähsdorf had 14 houses with a well-ordered brewery.

Kröhstorf was the terminus of the Aufhausen – Kröhstorf railway line , on which the first train ran on November 9, 1915. The entire line was closed on May 23, 1971 and dismantled in March 1973. Today the Vilstal cycle path runs here.

Kröhstorf belonged to the presidency of Galgweis in the Landau court and later to the Dornach community. With this it came in the course of the regional reform on January 1, 1972 to the market Eichendorf.

Attractions

  • The Church of St. Stephen is a subsidiary church of the parish of Willing . The nave was built around 1300, the choir and tower in the 18th century. The furnishings of the baroque church are neo-coco.
