from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The von Kronenfeldt family is a German-Bohemian noble family . The family originally came from near Prague ; A family chronicle allows the members to be traced back to the early 17th century.

history

The family is said to have been known by the name in Bohemia as early as the 15th century and was called Dohalski von Dohalick . According to other sources, the progenitor of the family with the name Kronenfeldt is said to have been raised to the nobility in the 17th century, presumably by the King of Sweden Gustav II Adolf . After the Battle of the White Mountains , the von Kronenfeldts left Bohemia and first moved to Grünendeich near Stade in what would later become Kurhannover , where the progenitor of the family owned a property.

As a result, around five generations of the family went through careers in the Hanoverian military service . The Hanoverian Karl von Kronenfeldt and his brother Christoph von Kronenfeldt served the British Empire at the time of the coalition wars by joining the King's German Legion , which was founded on December 19, 1803 . The two brothers later returned to Hanover and served as "elite soldiers" in the armed forces of the Royal Hanoverian Army .
