Friedrich Wilhelm Boldewin Ferdinand von dem Knesebeck (born November 5, 1789 in Langenapel , † May 4, 1867 in Göttingen ) was a German lawyer , genealogist and historian .

Friedrich Wilhelm Boldewin Ferdinand von dem Knesebeck was a member of the nobility , ancestry, von dem Knesebeck . He was the son of the landlord Friedrich Wilhelm Georg von dem Knesebeck (1750-1824) and Elisabeth born. Schulze (1758-1818). He studied law and was for a time as a Judicial Council in Goettingen operates.

Von Knesebeck also worked on Gut Wittingen in the Isenhagen district .

At the time of the Kingdom of Hanover , Knesebeck was in correspondence with the Brothers Grimm in 1838 .
