Order of the Crown (Monaco)

Order of the Crown

The order of the crown was on July 20, 1960 by Prince Rainier III. Donated by Monaco as a reward for the services rendered personally to the prince and is awarded in five classes to nationals and foreigners as a token of his respect.

Classes

The order consists of five classes.

Order decoration

The medal is a spade cross with fluted silver arms and a golden central stripe. Between the arms of the cross are the intertwined initials of the founder in gold . The prince's crown can be seen in the white enamel medallion . On the reverse the rhombs of the state coat of arms in gold. A wreath of oak and bay leaves is attached between the cross and the support ring .

Carrying method

The Grand Cross is carried with a sash from the left shoulder to the right hip and with a breast star . Grand officers wear a neck medal to the breast star , commanders only the same. Officers and knights the award on the ribbon on the left chest. Officers also have a rosette on the ribbon .

The ribbon is olive green with a red central stripe.
