The village of Krottensee is a district of the market Neuhaus an der Pegnitz in the Middle Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria . The place is a little above the Pegnitz valley east of the main town on the Franconian Jura . The district road LAU 18 crosses the town as the main axis. In the north this road leads to the state road St 2162 , which leads past Lehnershof to Ranna .
The Battle of Krottensee took place in 1703 during the War of the Spanish Succession .
