Neuhaus an der Pegnitz (officially: Neuhaus adPegnitz ) is a market in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land .

Before the municipal reform, the market belonged to the Eschenbach district in the Upper Palatinate .

history

Rothenbruck and Krottensee

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent community of Rothenbruck was incorporated. On July 1, 1972, Krottensee was added.

Yards

Höfen, formerly a municipality in the Upper Franconian district of Pegnitz , was incorporated on May 1, 1978. It was created as a clearing village in the second half of the 15th century. In January 2006 it had 136 inhabitants.

Mosenberg

Mosenberg, a clearing village from the 15th century, used to be part of the municipality of Höfen. It lies in a narrow strip of land on the Pegnitz and is known as the "worm extension of the Nuremberg region ". To the west of this strip of land lies Upper Franconia , to which it originally belonged, the eastern bank of the Pegnitz belongs to the Upper Palatinate. The Ranna station , which was closed in 1992 and from which a branch line to Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate used to branch off, is located in the area of ​​Mosenberg . Mosenberg had 288 residents in January 2006.

In Neuhaus an der Pegnitz there is a centrally located train station on the Nuremberg – Cheb railway line . Trains in the direction of Nuremberg and every hour in the direction of Bayreuth and Hof stop several times an hour .

Established businesses

The largest brewery is the Kaiser brewery . The municipal brewing rights have been preserved to the present day. A beer star hanging on the house indicates in which restaurant the communal beer is served. There are currently three communal restaurants, only two of which are regularly active. Kaiser Bräu also has communal brewing rights and once a year pours out the typical Märzen beer for the benefit of the local sports clubs .
