Rückersdorfer Forest

The Rückersdorfer Forst is a municipality-free area in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land .

The 5.15 km² state forest is a part of the Sebalder Reichswald north of Rückersdorf .

The Günthersbühler Forst borders in the north, the Laufer districts Rudolfshof and Kotzenhof border the city of Lauf an der Pegnitz in the east, the Rückersdorfer districts Ludwigshöhe and Strengenberg in the south and the Behringersdorfer Forst in the west .

The Buchberg is 400  m above sea level. NN one of the highest peaks in the area.

Waters

The area is traversed in the south by the Hirschbrunnengraben , which drains into the Pegnitz , in the north by the Grenzgraben and in the east by the Kreuzgraben and the Brunnwieselgraben , all of which drain into the Bitterbach to the east .

The Brunnwieselgraben emerges at about 368  m above sea level. NHN in the Rückersdorfer Forst am Sattel between Schmalzberg ( 406  m above sea level ) and Buchberg ( 400  m above sea level ), the Kreuzgraben as the more important upper course of the Brunnwieselgraben rises at about 383  m above sea level. NHN the lower Schnackenbrunnen on the northern slope of the Buchberg and drains large parts of the forest. The border ditch is created at about 380  m above sea level. NHN on the southeast slope of the Hinteren Steinberg and is almost until the end the municipality border between the Rückersdorfer and the Günthersbühler forest .
