history
Until the 19th century
First settlements around 750 to 500 BC The prehistoric finds on the plateau west of Kirchensittenbach in the Beckersloh forest department are known . There is a cemetery with 16 burial mounds from the Hallstatt period .
Kirchensittenbach first appeared as a settlement in the Baierischen Salbuch around 1275. In the years 1391 and 1450, Kirchensittenbach was plundered by Nuremberg mercenaries. From 1504 to 1806, today's municipal area belonged to the land of the imperial city of Nuremberg .
Incorporations
On January 1, 1971, Algersdorf was incorporated into the community of Kirchensittenbach. Kleedorf was added on April 1, 1971. Wallsdorf and part of the community of Treuf followed on January 1, 1972. Aspertshofen and Oberkrumbach completed the series of incorporations on January 1, 1977.

Klaus Albrecht (UBB) has been the first mayor of Kirchensittenbach since 2014. The predecessor was Peter Stief (WG). The second mayor is Gerhard Bock (CSU).

- Bartholomäuskirche in Kirchensittenbach:

Volunteer firefighter
The community of Kirchensittenbach has a total of eleven volunteer fire departments . The units in Kirchensittenbach are equipped with a fire fighting vehicle (HLF 10/6), a multi-purpose vehicle and a team transport vehicle , while those in Aspertshofen and Wallsdorf are equipped with a portable pump vehicle . The other fire brigades are equipped with portable pump trailers .
