Stöppach is a Franconian village on the high plateau of the Hersbrucker Alb .

geography

The village is one of 21 districts of the municipality of Kirchensittenbach in the eastern part of Middle Franconia . It is located about one and a half kilometers northeast of the center of Kirchensittenbach and is at an altitude of 476  m above sea level. NHN .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Stöppach became part of the independent rural community Treuf with the second municipal edict , which also includes the village of Raitenberg , the hamlets of Henneberg , Kreppling and Münzinghof , as well as the deserted areas of Gerhelm , Immendorf and Siglitzberg and Siglitzhof belonged. As part of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , the municipality of Treuf was split up on January 1, 1972. Stöppach, Kreppling, Siglitzberg and Siglitzhof were assigned to the municipality of Kirchensittenbach, whereas the remaining parts of the municipality came to the city of Velden . In 1993 Stöppach had 133 inhabitants.
