The village of Mosenberg is a district of the Neuhaus an der Pegnitz market in the central Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria .
The village is north of the market on the west bank of the Pegnitz . Ranna is on the other bank . In the west there is a large contiguous forest area, the Veldenstein Forest . A road leads through this forest to Bernheck . In the north are the Obere and Untere Kammerweiher , further north Michelfeld and northeast Auerbach in the Upper Palatinate .
The Ranna station was in Mosenberg, where the line to Auerbach branched off from the main line from Nuremberg to Eger .
